Capabilities
What we work on.
In each area, we help with both the design and the hands-on work needed to put it into use.
- 01
Applied AI & Generative AI
Generative AI applications, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agent workflows, enterprise search, and document processing. Testing and human review are planned from the start.
- 02
Cloud & Platform Architecture
Cloud and hybrid architectures designed around security, reliability, and cost, including containers, serverless, data services, and multi-cloud setups.
- 03
Solution Architecture & Integration
Turning business requirements into working systems: APIs, connections between enterprise systems, identity and access, automation, prototypes, and deployment support.
- 04
AI Governance & Production Readiness
What it takes to move an AI pilot into regular use: evaluation criteria, access controls, human review, monitoring, cost limits, and a testing plan, working within frameworks such as NIST 800-53, Zero Trust, and TX-RAMP.
- 05
Technical Program & Transformation Leadership
Coordinating initiatives across business, engineering, security, infrastructure, and vendors, and keeping leadership informed about dependencies, risks, and progress.
Not sure where to start?
Describe what you're working on, and we'll suggest a sensible first step.
Delivery model
We work alongside your team.
Most of the work happens in your environment, with the people who run it. That is usually where the real constraints show up.
- Working with your team
- Regular working sessions with the engineers, operators, and stakeholders who own the system, remotely or on site.
- Senior and hands-on
- The person who designs the architecture also helps build it and takes part in the reviews.
- Small steps, tested early
- We start with the smallest useful piece in a real environment, so decisions are based on what actually happens.
- 01
Discover
Talk with the people doing the work to understand the actual problem, constraints, data, and dependencies.
- 02
Design
Turn confirmed requirements into an architecture and a step-by-step plan.
- 03
Build
Build, configure, and integrate the solution together with your engineers.
- 04
Deploy
Test, harden, and document the solution, and support the move into production.
- 05
Enable
Leave your team with the documentation and patterns it needs to maintain and extend the work on its own.
Who we serve
Who we work with.
Small & Mid-Sized Businesses
Growing companies that want to use AI in practical ways and need a clear starting point and a plan that can grow with them.
Enterprise
Organizations modernizing cloud platforms, adding AI to business processes, connecting disconnected systems, or moving pilots into production.
Public Sector
Government organizations balancing mission needs, older systems, security and compliance requirements, and procurement rules. Our background includes statewide systems shared by dozens of agencies, and we aim to leave internal teams better equipped, so they rely less on outside vendors.
Approach
What you can expect.
- Design and delivery together
- The person who shapes the architecture also helps build it.
- Constraints considered early
- Security, governance, operations, cost, and integration are part of the design from the start.
- AI only where it helps
- We recommend AI where it clearly improves the work, and we'll say so when it doesn't.
- Your team can carry it forward
- Documentation, reusable patterns, and knowledge transfer are part of every engagement.
The firm
A small, senior‑led firm.

BEST was founded to help organizations see real value from AI: start with a focused project, measure the results, and plan how to grow from there.
We take on a limited number of engagements at a time, so the person making architecture decisions stays close to the implementation.
I’ve spent my career helping organizations put new technology to work, and I’ve never seen anything move as quickly as AI. Many companies, of every size, feel pressure to act but don’t know where to start. I started BEST to make that first step clear, practical, and worth the investment.
